My apologies, but I was forced to remove all the Anne Geddes free
stationary due to the following email I received on June 8th,
2007.
Please
Note: I never took credit for Anne Geddes work, nor did I sell anything.
The name 'Anne Geddes' and a link to her website ALWAYS appeared on ALL
my letters. When their "legal team" contacted me in 2001 they told me I
COULD use their work provided I linked back to their website.
Dear
Silvia,
All
Anne Geddes images are copyright and Anne Geddes has not licensed anyone
other than herself to use her images to create computer stationery of
any kind. By doing so, you are in direct violation of Anne's
copyright.
Furthermore, the legal guidelines on our website
relating to the use of Anne Geddes images on external websites say that
anyone with Anne Geddes images on their website must not "redistribute"
those images. By using
Anne's images in the computer
stationery and offering them to the public, you are doing
this.
To avoid further action having to be taken, which is
within our rights, we ask you to remove all Anne Geddes images from your
website immediately.
Thank you very much for attending to
this matter. We will check your website again next
week.
Yours faithfully
Estelle Murray
