For those of you who knew me, you will probably remember my interests in computers and martial arts.  And those that knew me really well, will remember my passion for cooking.  I think very few people would be able to say that they've been able to pursue all of their interests as I have.

I've been living here in the Silicon Valley (San Jose, CA) for the last 7 1/2 years.  I've been quite successful working in the computer field doing everything from technical support for a software company, to computer programming, information technology, web design, and consulting.  I've worked at home for the last 4 years and have to say it definitely has it's pros and cons!
I've been able to pursue my interest in Martial Arts and obtained my 2nd black belt in Taekwondo last year.  I'm now studying Kung Fu as well as working on my 3rd degree black belt and am now teaching martial arts full time.  I plan to open my own martial arts studio later this year.
Last year I started a food manufacturing company, Don Geraldo Foods, which
manufacturers fresh salsa like the kind you find in the deli section of your local grocery store.  Later this spring I'll be expanding to other products as well.  My product is currently sold in several grocery store chains throughout the Bay Area and will soon be available on AMAZON.COM as well.
As for my more personal life, I got married in 1993 and was married for 8 years with no kids.  I've been lucky to find love again with Patricia and
now have a really sweet son named Aidan James Bailey (7 months old) as well as a super cool step-son, Ethan (9 years old).

Carmen Calixto (Gabaldon)

Since our last reunion, I've come full circle.  I met a man who I found to be my partner in so many ways.  Since the day I met him, he always told me that I was "a mom without a child" and that I would have a child someday.  Well, that day finally came, my son, Mathieu was born 11 weeks premature by c-section.  Now, he's a gorgeous 3-year-old with bright eyes and a smile that melts you.  He's a real character, such a funny boy!  Being born so early, he was diagnosed with cerebral palsy, but it's mild and not really noticeable at first.  Mathieu and his father are the center of my universe, everything I am and do revolves around them.  I am endlessly finding new and appropriate ways to come up with adaptive equipment to help Mathieu be as successful as he can be, to raise him with the attitude that he CAN do anything.  I work part-time just to keep myself sharp.  Other than that, I have a very simple yet rewarding home life.  Raising a special needs child is all the challenge I need from life right about now.  I don't have any other exciting news or anything else that I feel the need to brag about, Mathieu keeps me extremely busy.

Silvia Corradin

My life since High School has been a real roller-coaster. Some of you may remember the Italian girl who spent her Junior and Senior year at Alamogordo High, some might not, I was not very popular to say the least. I used to look quite different back then as well, my hair was brown and I wore thick glasses.
At any rate, to summarize the past 20 years in this mini-bio, career wise I was unable to attend College, but I had a very successful career as a manager of various stores (first fast food, then a retail chain), and then my career took me to the computer Industry in the early '90s, where it lead me to be a web developer. Today I wear many hats, but I am mainly a translator, a writer and a graphic artist while I take care of my children. I am one of those women who could never work full time with babies at home!
Personal wise, in 1988 I married my best friend, Nick Zahorcak. We lived in Phoenix for our entire married life, which lasted 11 years. Together we had 1 child out of three pregnancies. My first pregnancy resulted in a stillborn baby boy (Alex), which we will miss 'til the day we die. I miscarried the second pregnancy at 8 weeks, and the third pregnancy resulted in a wonderful little boy we named Nicholas. Unfortunately Nicky was born with a devastating skin disorder called Epidermolysis Bullosa. If a cure is not found his life expectancy is about 30 years. I am dedicating my life to EB awareness, and I am using the internet to connect families with my EB dedicated website.
After my marriage ended I looked up an old boyfriend I dated in Alamogordo back in 1984... the guy that I felt was 'the' one and the one that got away from me,
and I found him... In September 2003 we had a healthy baby boy (hurray!) we named Connor. For more on me, please visit my website.

So far I've not been married nor had any kids, but plan on both. A general outline of life since high school follows.
1985-1988 Attended New Mexico State University. Graduated as Crimson Scholar with B.A. in History, Distinguished Military Graduate from Army ROTC. Began training as 2nd Lieutenant in US Army at Fort Knox, Kentucky.
1989 Graduated Armor Officer's Basic Course, Airborne School. Assigned to 1st Infantry Division, Fort Riley, Kansas.
1990-1992 Served in various positions in 2nd Battalion, 34th Armor at Fort Riley, lived in Manhattan, Kansas.
1993 After leaving Army, lived in Tularosa, New Mexico, worked in family business, CLEAR Video Graphics. Completed Small Business Planning Course.
1994 Began graduate school at New Mexico State University for History Master of Arts. Promoted to Captain in US Army Reserves. Worked as graduate assistant while studying. Recognized in "Who's Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges 1995."
1996 Left graduate school to work without degree, due to financial difficulty. Worked as Publications Specialist.
1997-9 Worked as software tester, writer, Army exercise advisor, and consultant at Technical Solutions, Inc. in Las Cruces.
2000-2001 Served as AmeriCorps volunteer instructor at a Las Cruces alternative high school.
2001-2002 Returned to graduate school to finish History Master of Arts. My tentative MA thesis title is "US Relations with Libya, 1945-1954." Expecting to graduate, move to Cincinnati and find work as a Public Historian or Editor in 2002.

Brian Cyr

Well life has been pretty good to me.  I have hung out in the southwest area since high school.  I lived in Phoenix, Las Vegas & Reno.  In 1989 I married my first wife and in 1990 I had my first son.  Well I say "I had" but really my wife did most of the hard work I just watched the fetal monitor and felt helpless. Hehehehe.  In 1993 we had our second son and in 1994 she was out the door.  So from then until 2000 I played the role of single parent.  Did a pretty fair job.  Was really tired though. hehehe.  In 2000 I married my 2nd (hopefully last) wife.  Along the way I have done everything from night janitor to the I.T. director of Nevada's largest souvenir wholesaler.
Currently I am in employed as a professional computer geek (programmer/net admin/pc tech/setting clocks on VCRs/etc) for... well... you would not believe me if I told you.  Suffice it to say its uncommon.   Its a family owned business and the owner and my boss are the best I have ever had.  Couple that with great kids and a terrific wife and who could want for more?

Cheryl Decker (Lackey)

Well like everyone else, it's hard to believe it has been 20 years.  I don't feel that old, at least on most days.  If you don't remember me, I used to hang out with Chris Roller (McCumber), Cyndi Bolduc and Sonia Chapa (Vigansky) and others.

Well, where should I start.  After graduation, I had a full scholarship for Nursing at NMSU-A.  Did a semester and then quit because I found the love of my life, Steve.  We were married in Sept. of 1986 and left a few days later to go to Germany.  Steve was in the Air Force.  Spent 3 years in Germany, traveling was great.  Came back to the states to live in North Carolina for 14 years.  Once I got back to the states and was settled, decided it was time to go back to school.  Worked full time and went to college.  Graduated in 1994 with a bachelors of science in biology and minor in chemistry.  My senior year I worked for the largest turkey processing plant in the world, you may have heard of it...Carolina Turkeys.  The job was great for applying what I learned, but the turkeys...let's just say they left a little to be desired.  I still don't eat processed turkey....if you don't ask, I won't tell you how it's made or what's in it.
While in NC, I would drive past a big pharmaceutical company and would always say, "I'll work there someday."  That someday came in 1996.  I was hired by Bayer Corp., as in aspirin.  We made life-saving drugs from human blood plasma.  I worked in Quality Assurance directly with manufacturing so I learned a ton.  What a great experience, knowing you are helping to save lives everyday.
It was 12 years into our marriage when I became pregnant with our one and only child, an angel named Alyssa.  She is five now and into everything. I
think she is keeping me young.
Well I have been a military wife at this point for almost 18 years and it's time for Steve to retire.  Yeah, no more worrying if he will have to
go back to war like he did for over 6 months during the Gulf War (Desert Storm).
We decided to move to Steve's home state, Indiana.  I had to find a job
and did rather quickly.  I got hired by Eli Lilly Company, another pharmaceutical company, in November of 2003.  My daughter and I moved to Indiana in November and Steve followed once his terminal leave began. Like all changes, it has been a little stressful, but well worth it.  It's time now to start new and continue with a great life.

Sorry so long, but I haven't been in touch with many of you.  Take Care and God Bless You!

I did the marriage thing (twin daughters), the Air Force thing (traveling to Mississippi , England , and finally Texas ), did the divorce thing, did the computer programming thing, did the technical writing thing (still do on occasion). I have run a few successful e-zines in the past 7 or 8 years. Also sidelined the odd bit of singing and karaoke hosting for extra fun and money.

At the 10-year reunion – where no one recognized me for the first hour or so – I was still living in Dallas , TX . Two years ago, at the begging of family, I decided to move to southern Florida (where most of the family lives these days). The timing was right. I miss the 1,200-mile Family Buffer Zone, but so be it. I'm in Boca Raton , where most of my time these days is spent writing and/or umbilically connected to the Internet. I'm currently about halfway done with my latest novel. By the time the 20-year reunion rolls around, I should be finished with it and I'll be shopping it around.

I haven't married again, although I'm far from opposed to it. I've had a few long-term relationships since my divorce, and I recently began dating someone steadily. So far, so good…she seems able to put up with my ultra-dry sense of humor and artistic temperament, although she insists I would benefit from a "Queer Eye" makeover. My dress sense (as you can see in this cheezy webcam photo) still places emphasis on comfort rather than fashion, I'm afraid.

I've lost contact with most of my classmates, but still keep up with a couple on occasion. If anyone wants to contact me, feel free. You can e-mail me at karlerikson@yahoo.com

I’ve had a great life so far. I moved to middle Georgia in 1986 and have stayed in the area ever since. I love it here. I have two children, Jennifer and Alex who are in the Air Force Reserves and Army, respectively. They are great kids. Jennifer returns from Turkey in May ’07. I’m not sure where Alex is headed off to next. I’m married to a wonderful man, Tim. He is also in the AF Reserves, currently a Lt. Col. I completed my PhD a couple of years ago and am running my own business. I look forward to the next reunion and plan on making the trek out west to attend.

Fabricio Gonzales

Active duty military since 1985. I will retire next year in November 2005. Divorced, two kids in Cruces. Presently stationed in Germany. This is a photo from 1996 Mothers Day at the Las Cruces Mall with my daughter. I was stationed at Ft Carson Colorado 571st MEDEVAC. We covered the Alamogordo, Las Cruces, and El Paso area.

HWhassssssup! To the most prestigious and world-renowned AHS class of '84. I apologize for the lateness in submitting my information, but as some of you know, I am the world's worst, or best, procrastinator!
From the words of the late Chris Farley, a/k/a "Motivational Speaker" from Saturday Night Live, "I am 38 years old, I am thrice divorced, and I live in a van down by the river!"
I thought I would share a picture of my most recent Halloween costume. I discovered that if I cannot make it as an attorney, I could most definitely survive as a pimp daddy, however, probably not in my hometown of Alamogordo.
Following graduation in 1984, I went to the Univ. of New Mexico (GO LOBOS!) and completed my undergraduate and law school degrees. After graduating from UNM Law School in 1991, I went to Roswell for one year clerking for the District Judges. I then "did my time" in
Clovis for one year, and decided to come back to Alamogordo to open my law practice. I soon found that practicing criminal defense was my forte (assuming in the first place that I possess any strengths whatsoever), probably due more to the fact that I was already accustomed to getting my own ass out of criminal trouble, and so I thought I would be good at the daunting task of getting other people's asses out of criminal trouble. I have been blessed with a beautiful six year old daughter, who is an angel of God! She is my absolute world, and for the most part keeps me out of trouble. I am currently engaged to a gorgeous, wonderful girl named Sabrina Kidwell, who is herself an AHS graduate (class of '94, to be exact), which would have made her all of eight years of age when we all graduated. Likewise, Sabrina is my absolute world, but, for the most part, stays in trouble with me.

Lenora Jackson (Barr)

I'm still living in Alamogordo still married to the same guy, we have 3 kids, dogs cats and horses.

I work for APS and UPS, and help my husband run our heating and cooling business. My hobbies are running, baseball and horse back riding with my daughter. I run anywhere from 3 to 12 miles a day. Life has been a good one and I've been very blessed. Can't wait to see all of you at the reunion.

This is a picture of my oldest son JT 17yrs and me at the balloon fiesta.

Heidi Lerum (Adams)

How to sum up the last 20 years?... After high school, I went to college. It took 9 years, but I finally got a Bachelors degree in Computer Science. In that time, I moved to Colorado Springs, CO, back to New Mexico to get married, and then out to Fresno, California. After graduation, I moved back to Colorado Springs and started my illustrious career of "Jill of all Trades". I worked commercial jobs then settled into government contracting. Mostly I do some programming, some Configuration Management, some System Administration for a Unix LAN, and lots of testing. Eventually, I got divorced after 13 years, no kids. Went back to school and am working on my Masters in Computer Science. Met a wonderful man, Tim, whom I’m marrying in June 2004. We both enjoy the same goals/joys in life and hold the same values, and are very much in love. I love Colorado and am here to stay. I grew up with “Old Baldy” in my front yard. Now I have Pikes Peak in my back yard. It’s beautiful here and I’m living out my dreams in the gentle weather of suburbia. Oh yeah, and I love playing computer games, reading/watching Sci-Fi, eating pasta, and life with family.

Paula "Lori" Martinez (Payton)

Well here it goes. Ya'll know I got married at 17 my senior year to David Conway (6 years older then me). Moved to Texas in 1984. Have a fabulous son in May 1985 (now 20 year old) Daniel was my angel that held me together from that experience. We moved to Alabama in 1985.
Well 4 1/2 years later I got divorced from the psycho. Waited a couple years met someone else David Walker (4 years older than me) in Alabama, got married, had beautiful little girl Megan in July 1990 (now 14, going on 30 and knows it all) poor thing, she's just like me, that's why I'm ready to beat her (ha-ha). When I went to the 10 year reunion in 1994, I was newly divorced from #2 and yes that was a 4 1/2 year episode too (sounds like a soap opera, huh). Then waited about 2 years again, got married to #3 Emmitt Payton (5 years younger than me) (Dad forbid me to marry another David). Had another son Gabriel in December 1998, poor thing is just like his redneck Daddy, mean as hell, but loves his mama best! Found out in September 2000 that I has Rheumatoid Arthritis & Lupus (blood disorder, attacks main organs) so started taking medication to help, found out a week later that I would be having another baby. So had to quit taking medication. While pregnant, had low iron, blood in urine, and high blood pressure. Had the most spoiled little princess Maria in May 2000 (my miracle baby)! Went home on Wednesday came back to hospital on Thursday, could not breath, knew something was wrong. Found out on Saturday after 3 days of testing that I had kidney failure and had to do dialysis. Did biopsy on kidneys and found out needed transplant to have functioning kidneys again (stayed there 3 weeks). They sucked off 40 pounds of fluid that was in my lungs and around my heart (see I knew I had a skinny person trying to get out, she was just fighting to get out, SMILE). Did hemo-dialysis through port in arm, it wasn't good, I got too depressed. Started peritoneal dialysis (port by belly button) at home treatments, best thing I ever did, still doing it, gained 20 pounds back, but now I feel great! I look so healthy, you wouldn't know, I was really sick. My kids keep me going, all 6. I forgot I also have two step-sons that live with us Nathan born in 1992 (has a mentally level of 6, he's 13) and Dillon born in 1993 (has ADHD) husband has custody. We'll be married 9 years in October this year (if I don't kill him first). He's was home last week (all week) with food poisoning (not mine) and strep. I think I've had enough. Ya know after 4 1/2 years with Emmitt, I tried to get him to leave, but his ass wouldn't leave, so I guess he took it seriously when they said 'til death do us part! (Ha-ha) Oh, and in between all the kids I had 3 miscarriages at 4 1/2 months and 2 at 5 1/2 months, was told that was a factor of having lupus, never knew that). So I feel really blessed for the life I do have and the kids I've got. Well that about it, unless I can remember anything else. I'll let ya all know. So please keep in touch, I don't work anymore, so I'm at home most of the time. Still live in Alabama. Wish I could see everyone! Let me know what you've been up to. I miss all my friends, don't have many here. Always too busy with kids, and my Mom & Dad, sister and brothers live here too, so we have a bunch of birthdays and family get togethers (on my side). Anyway, please keep in touch.

Love ya' much!

One girlfriend told me I should write my name:

After high school, I hit the road almost immediattely for NMSU where I attended 4 years with a 3.3 GPA and decided in 1988 to abandon my education and seek the music business full time. While at NMSU, I was fortunate to have fellow '84 grads Mike Cosentino and Jim Heaton as neighbors most of the way through. I also played in a "new wave" (for lack of a better term) group called Schizoid Aria with (among others) Elaine Walker who currently is a candidate for the directorship of the National Space Society and plays in an electronic group call ZIA (in NYC?!?!?) Her music can be found at http://www.ziaspace.com.
In 1988, I moved to Albuquerque, and was a part of the original and ongoing founding group for Resin Records (record label and music productions), where I was responsible for the vast majority of the graphic design and "back of the house" responsibilities (while holding a day job as Assistant to the Publisher at Brotherhood of Life Metaphysical Books. During my nine years in Albuquerque I played in several groups, most notably BigDamnCrazyWeight (see SupPop Records Single of the Month #48 OCT 1992 http://subpop.com/scripts/main/discography_singles_club.php ) and BringBackDad.
As Rock and Roll dictates, the summer of 1997 held a few surpises which would serve to return me to Alamogordo before my birthday. My then-current, and soon to be ill-fated, group The Honeys began a typical west coast 2 week trip in late May '97 during which every concievable mishap befell us, and yet we had a riotous great time including being invited to be featured in an upcoming film about the LA Silverlake neighborhood. By July 4th I had relocated (minus a drummer and a guitarist) to Atwater CA (between Hollywood and Glendale) where I discovered that I really HATE not living in New Mexico. As always, against all guesses, I had really good time in the midst of it all and even managed to work as crew for an Offspring video (the on ein the airport) and appear as the "nerdy grocery clerk spraying down the lettuce" in the Coolio video "Ooh Lah Lah."
Arriving back in Alamogordo on Oct' 7 '97, I had decided (or thought I had) to put music on the shelf. Rock and Roll, however, had a different plan, and I find myself in 2002 running a small hip-hop label and a full line recording studio in the former "Bobby's Bar" outside Tularosa. Thank again to the class of 1984 as our awesome landlords turn out to be Barbara and Dennis Cosentino (parent of the aforementioned Mike) who are helping us turn the building into a beautiful live in studio which shoudl open it's doors officially sometime in 2003, and now serves as headquarters for our record labels and our group G.C.P. http://mp3.com/2ez ... the rest of the story remains to be written.

Thasia Rawles (Hale)

I pulled out the ole’ yearbooks and started looking through them and it is amazing how the memories flood back.  It seems as though I remember almost everyone and more than a fraction bring back a smile to my face in one way or another.

As for me in the after-life of high school … I moved to Albuquerque for two years then relocated with my employer to Phoenix, Arizona where I worked and/or studied there for 12 years.  Although I loved the area, I decided to escape the intense summer heat and moved to San Diego where I met and married my husband, Mike of five years now.  Mike is an officer in the U.S. Navy and has afforded me the travel that I might not have done otherwise …not to mention my very own Harley-Davidson Motorcycle!

I have a step-daughter (Jana) who is 19 years old and just finished her first year in college.  Mike and I have an ornery yet sweet little three-year old son (Tommy), who is the light of my life.  (Okay, “ornery” sounds familiar … yes, he takes after me!)

I am currently working to finish my bachelor’s degree in medical nutrition therapy but it has been difficult due to our continuous moving.  I still keep in touch with my old cohort Marja (Carmichael/Swens).  Enough for now, let’s catch up at the reunion!

Terri Robertson (Adam)

This comes to you from a distant land called MAINE! Let me tell you how I ended up in the frozen tundra of this state! After graduation, I moved to Hot Springs, Arkansas (YeeHaw) and worked with abused and neglected children for about 10 years. I finally decided it was time to move home.
As I sorted through old letters, I came upon one from Steve Adam, 1983 graduate, who still lived in New Mexico. Well, we hooked up and decided to stay that way so we made it official in September of 1996. Upon our second anniversary, I surprised my husband with the news of our first arrival, Katherine Constance Adam. He promptly announced the news he was laid off. UGH! After hunting jobs in New Mexico, we went elsewhere and ended up here in Bangor, Maine. Shortly after we arrived here, I announced the arrival of baby #2, Daniel Gentry Adam. Steve works at the University of Maine, College of Engineering and I work at Eastern Maine Community College for the President. We have a wonderful home and invite any to come visit us in the summer which is staggeringly beautiful. I dare anyone to come visit us in the winter, which is also quite beautiful and wicked cold!!

20 years already!  Here’s a summary of my life since high school:

* 1984 to 1989, I spend an inordinate amount of time in the Juarez bars, but manage to escape without arrest, and with a degree in Economics and International Business from NMSU to boot!  Highlights include learning how to shotgun a beer and spending a semester in Boston in an attempt to find the best clam chowder in the New England area.
* 1989 to 1991, I decide that I’m not ready for the real world, so I delay any meaningful employment by staying at NMSU and getting my MBA.  Highlights include working at the Las Cruces Hilton during the Miss New Mexico pageant, and discovering Pluto (wanted to see if you were still reading).
*  1991 to 1995, I find a sucker who wants to actually pay me to do stuff— the General Accounting Office.  I move to Washington D.C. and really like it there.  But I miss are my family and NM chili.  Highlights include having enough money so “Ramen Pride” noodles are not my only dinner option.
*  1995, Still working for GAO, I foolishly move to San Francisco.  It’s cold, expensive, and most of the people there are snobs.  Great place to visit, but didn’t like living there.
* 1996-2000, I find a different sucker to give me money and also let me live in Albuquerque!  I become an Inspector for the Office of Inspector General.  Highlights include finally meeting the love of my life, Rose, and watching my beloved Rams win the Superbowl.
* 2001-2004, And here we are.  I got married in February of 2001, we had a baby-- Isaiah Justice--in January 2002 and another one is on the way!
So, life has been good.  For me, there are only three things that matter:  God, family, and friends.  Everything else is just clatter.

Ritchy Scoggin

If you are wondering my family and I live in Austin , TX since 1998 and we love it! My wife of 18 almost 19 years Julie (formerly Shaw) works at the elementary school where my daughter, Kristin, attends 4th Grade. My son attends 7th grade at Small middle school. Zac plays football and is already bigger than I was when I graduated High School! Kristin is involved in cheerleading, which now is a very serious and costly sport. I am beginning the Baseball season where I will be coaching the Oak Hill Rockies with Zac and a few of his friends. Not quite the baseball career I once dreamed of, but more rewarding than I could have imagined.

I currently work for UBS Financial Services, Inc. as Vice President of Investments. Fancy name for, I help people and small companies with their finances and asset management. My parents still live in Alamogordo and Julie’s parents live in Las Cruces . We have 2 Schnauzers named Max (the good dog) and Rex (the spawn of satan) a puppy.

I will work on finding a family photo, and as you’ll notice I have only changed for the better unlike the rest of you unlucky poor souls!

I look forward to spending time with some old friends. Let’s make a big effort to get as many people as possible there and locate those who don’t make the reunion. The class of 84’ represents a easier time in all of our lives. There are so many memories that rush forward as you see the faces of our childhood. I am truly excited to come to Alamo .

Sonjia Upshaw

Hello…from the #1 AHS Band “Mother”
Greetings from Richmond, Virginia!! As you can see, the pounds I lost after college found me!! Anyway, I was so excited to see the website and get in touch with so many of my old running buddies. It has really been a blessing to find out what everyone is up to these days. So much has changed in 20 years, but it is always good to take a trip or two down memory lane.
As for me, after graduating from AHS, I went on to NMSU. Some of you may remember that I did my student teaching under Mr. Thorpe right there at AHS. I finished college in 1990 and took a teaching job in Deming, NM. BAD DECISION!!! That lasted for about 9 months at which point I returned to Alamo and began teaching piano and working at Presto.
I had my daughter Ramsey in June of 1995 and my daughter Tianna in September of 1989. I was at the 10 year reunion and it was a blast. I moved to Virginia with my brother in December of 1995. I have been here ever since and I really love how God has blessed me and my girls. As for marriage, tried it, hated it, and now I am waiting for the “REAL MR.RIGHT” to come along.
I hope to travel back to Alamo in late August. I will definitely look some of you up!!!

Pål Walberg

I don’t know how many of you will remember me, but I was an Exchange Student from Norway at Alamogordo Senior High 1983/84.
In Alamogordo I stayed with 3 different families; the Boehms, the Williamsons and the Selphs. As an Exchange Student I got to travel a lot, so in the spring of ’84 I spent 6 weeks away from School.
On my return Dick Matthews re-introduced me as a Foreign Exchange Tourist! On my return to Norway I finished School here, did my required one year of military service (conscript in the Army) and went to work first for a Contractor as a tractor-driver, then I worked for a year and a half in an Architects practice before I went on to study Architecture at the University of Newcastle upon Tyne in England, where I took the degree BA Hons Arch. After 4 years in England I moved to Stuttgart in Germany where I did my year out in an Architects practice before I took my final degree “Diplomingenieur für Architektur und Städtebau” (=Chartered Architect) at the Stuttgart University in the fall of 1995.
I then moved back to my hometown Gjøvik where I worked for 4 years. In 2000 I moved to Oslo where I worked for nearly one year before I moved to Trondheim where I currently reside.
I work as a Designer and Project manager in a Architectural Practice with 20 employees. Currently I’m building 3 new stands for Lerkendal Stadium – the home of Rosenborg for those of you who knows a little about European soccer – and in charge of designing the new IKEA-store here in Trondheim. I have been back to NM only once, in 1986, but I’m hoping to go back to visit again soon. Maybe a Reunion would be an excellent opportunity to do that?

midnight shifts as Dorm Security, I decided to "Be All I Could Be" and
visited my local Army recruiter.
* 1985-1987: Enlisted in the Army as an MP and sent to Germany. Learned how to speak German and that there are more than just two variety of beer that Nick's package store in Alamo' used to sell. Honorably discharged and returned back to the Land of Enchantment.
* 1988-1992: Returned to UNM (thanks to Uncle Sam), joined ROTC, and transferred to University of Arizona. Graduated in Dec 1992, Summa Cum Laude (yes, I know. Unbelievable. My mother still doesn't believe it, either..). Received my commission as a Second Lieutenant in the U.S. Army (Military Police).
* 1992-1999: Back to Germany, in fact, back to the same unit I left as an enlisted soldier. Spent the next four years leading troops and back-to-back deployments (Rwanda, Croatia, Bosnia). Learned that armored
"Humvees" aren't really armored after all and that Kevlar vests are the best thing since sliced bread. Got married in 1996 to another servicemember (Army officer). Sent back to school, where I earned an MPA
& MA at Columbia University. Trying to finish up my doctorate (Pol Sci) at Columbia. Given a break from deployments and sent to West Point to teach cadets.
* 2000-present: Currently assigned as an Assistant Professor at the United States Military Academy at West Point. Also serve as the COO of the Army Game Project (www.americasarmy.com). Blessed with two beautiful, healthy children: Neve Elizabeth (19 months) and Taggart John Trevette (3 months).
Realized just how wonderfully vulnerable you become as a parent -- and enjoy every single minute of it.
It's great to walk back down memory lane and read about old friends and colleagues. Hope all is well with everyone. Good Lord willing, I'll be in Alamo in July -- and not Baghdad. Would enjoy hearing from you!
