Bon Jovi: Destination Anywhere (1997) ~VHS~
Destination Anywhere, which is a full-length LP by the artist Jon
Bon Jovi, gets transfered from the concept of the album to the big
screen. The idea behind this film, which works like a long music video
is the fact that Jon and his wife, are in mourning over their child
who was killed in an accident. As a result, both characters lives
are full of confusion, despair and heartache. Jon seems like a lost
soul in this film, he still hasn't gotten over the death of his child.
As a result he enters a world of depression. His wife, played by Demi
Moore is equally as frustrated and confused as Jon. The movie shows
their pain and how they are still trying to cope with the loss. I
was surprised at just how touching this film was, I was a little teary
eyed when it was over. I felt for all the characters, all the characters
seemed real to me. Not bad I say for a small little film like this.
This film shows the world that Jon Bon Jovi is indeed a great actor,
and a multi-talented entertainer. Demi Moore almost steals the show,
when on screen she sucks you in with her beauty and her emotions.
This is a must see for fans of both actors, especially Bon Jovi fans.
I find that this film gives new meaning to Jon's solo LP, Destination
Anywhere. I now appreciate it more and understand it better thanks
to this film. While a little on the depressing side, Destination Anywhere
still manages to be engaging and worthwhile on the strengths of it's
focused stars. Also stars Kevin Bacon, Annabella Sciorra, Whoopie
Goldberg. |

Jovi: Live From London ~VHS~
Bon Jovi is one of the only surviving "hair bands" who have managed
to maintain a successful career, both critically and commercially,
and "Live from London" shows why. The high energy show displays old
favorites like "Livin on a Prayer" and "Lay Your Hands on Me" as well
as the overwhelmingly popular ballad "Always," as Jon gives a heartbreaking
performance. "Hey God" is one of the best performances given, as well
as "Keep the Faith." The band looks confident and seems to be having
fun...so will fans. The video montage accompanying "These Days" is
a fun glimpse behind the scenes. Overall, a fantastic performance,
and a must-have for any Bon Jovi fan.

From the early days of "Livin' On a Prayer" and "You Give Love a Bad
Name," all of which were mostly concert footage, the band embarks
on a journey both musically and in their video style. By the time
the 90s hit and "Keep the Faith" is released, you see a different
band and different kinds of videos. Highlights on the video include
"Wanted Dead or Alive," "Living in Sin," and "Always," the new release
that rocked the video world with constant play. True Bon Jovi fans
should own this video as an item to turn on all the time, and see
great songs and the evolution of a great band that outlived the other
so-called "hair bands." This video should accompany the band's greatest
hits album of the same name, but the video includes songs like "Living
in Sin," "Dry County," and "In These Arms," that were not included
on the audio release. Definitely a must-have.

the Faith - An Evening with Bon Jovi ~VHS~
This video is wonderful! I especially liked the unplugged versions
of "Lay Your Hands on Me", "Living On A Prayer", "Love For Sale",
and "Wanted Dead or Alive". The cover versions of "We Got To Get Out
of This Place," and "It's My Life" were almost as good as the originals.
If You're a Bon Jovi fan then this video is a must!
